To cut a long story short we finally closed the wholesale side of our business last month.
We gradually shifted from a wholesale model and into developing our own range of products. Even when we were competitive we were selling <5% of the volume we did on Amazon as the traffic was much lower. We found this when we started listing elsewhere. If you sell 3rd party (wholesale) brands and rely on FBA, you’ll often struggle to compete on price on other channels. We need to consider OnBuy, FB, Twitter, Instagram but I assume there are no stock syncs for these with small seller packages like WP lister, Infrog.
I understand WP is free & then you pay for all the adds on’s you need & Shopify looks to be more all in one to get started but with add ons if required later. Or is Inkfrog & Shopify a better option? Any other options? So for a small business who needs their own website & stock sync is the best option Woo & WP Lister for eBay & Amazon? To gets some eggs out of Amazon’s basket before the next catastrophe we need to link eBay, Amazon, set up a website, sync stock across all.įor 9 years we have used Auctiva but with no stock sync & only expensive multichannel for the US we need to back track & start again. Particulary if you are an older generation with very limited computer skills you just don’t start one! Like Neil said when you start out, like we did, a handful of listings on eBay & not knowing where it may end up you don’t need an inventory file. We need to spread the risk & sell elsewhere but not quite sure where to start. *Brexit lose 6 months EU sales - Just get IOSS up & running & now Returnless Refund on €25 We either can’t get corrected or take many hours of trying with the great Amazon Seller Support to get them to be changed
*loads of non brand owner locked pages incorrect.
*100’s of brand owner product pages showing incorrect details and/or search supressed & can’t be rectified so more & more inventory is sat in warehouse doing nothing but costing us *used to FBA a lot but due to Amazon now FBAing the same products just impossible to make it work *Brand owner now selling directly to Amazon (happened to us several times now) We have far too many eggs in Amazon’s basket & due to all of the below we have been hit very hard this year.
